This workshop is all about creating experimental paintings inspired by botanical forms in nature. Guided by experienced floral watercolour artist Katie, you will learn how to explore expressive drawing techniques and use line, tone and colour to create experimental paintings. Katie will encourage you to produce paintings and create artwork in response to flowers and nature in watercolour.
Whether you are a beginners and or practicing artist, this 3 and a half hour workshop is an opportunity to enjoy a fun and relaxed approach to being inspired by nature.
With a glass of wine on arrival, enjoy delicious seasonal sourdough pizzas prepared by our chefs from our converted horsebox.
All materials, equipment and light refreshments will be provided.
Katie Lenegan is an artist based in the Cotswolds. She studied at the Manchester School of Art, MMU and graduated with a B.A.Hons Degree in Fine Art and later a PGCE in Further Education. She draws inspiration from the natural environment and the seasonal shifts. The Garden has become an important feature of her work and the cycles of regeneration and decay inspire her painting.
