Under Kate’s expert tutorage, learn different techniques of pen drawing and how to overlay with ‘dry’ watercolour and create beautiful botanical art in this welcoming and relaxed setting at The Barn.

The workshop will be split into two phases – firstly pen drawing and then ‘dry’ watercolour. The workshop will start with Kate showing you different pen drawing styles. She will help guide you to find a pen technique that suits you.

Once you have completed your pen drawing, Kate will help you find the best watercolour technique to complement your pen work.

She will offer individual support and guidance throughout the workshop to help everyone develop their personal style, understand composition, colour mixing, and achieve a more confident approach to art.

Flowers will be provided from the Daylesford Organic estate to work from and to inspire you, and by the end of the session, you will have created a A4 botanical artwork to take home with you.

Suitable for all abilities from absolute beginners to the more experienced artist, who would like to try a new technique and approach to art.

All art materials will be provided for you and light refreshments will be provided, including a glass of wine on arrival.
